Moda è Modo: Italian Slow Fashion and Jewelry Born in the Alps, since 1976

Moda è Modo was born in the Italian Alps in 1976, carrying within it both the rough beauty of the mountains and the desire to bring harmony, protection, and meaning into everyday life.

The story begins with Carla Sieff, whose vision was to transform fashion into something more than consumption — into a way of being. From the very beginning, Moda è Modo has been guided by a belief that what we wear can reflect our values, our roots, and our search for balance.

In the family’s workshop, Carla started creating jewelry rich in symbols. The Guardian Angel quickly became the emblem of the brand — a sign of love and protection. At first, the bracelets were gifts for her children and close friends, but soon they found their place in Moda è Modo stores.

People connected not only to their distinctive design, but to the quiet sense of presence and support they carried. Stories grew around them: wishes tied to the bracelets, protection felt in wearing them.

Over the decades, Moda è Modo expanded beyond jewelry, creating shawls crafted from fine Italian fabrics. Each piece — whether a jewel or a textile — is rooted in artisanal tradition, slow fashion values, and the desire to transmit meaning.

Today, every creation continues to embody what Carla envisioned: fashion not as trend, but as a language. A way to connect with oneself, with others, and with the symbols that protect and inspire us.
